OREGON THERAPY FORUM - POLICY
Oregon Therapy Forum policies may change. You should periodically check for changes.

Forum participation is not guaranteed and may be granted to the following mental health professionals:
• Licensed Mental Health Professionals
• Mental health professionals who are residents or registered interns.
• People who are in an approved masters or doctoral degree program for the purpose of becoming licensed as a mental health professional.
• Participation must be approved by AMHA-OR.

Advertising and Promotions

AMHA Members may post in the Advertising and Promotions Forum with approval of the Education, Advertising and Promotions Moderator.
• Members introducing themselves
• Office rentals or sublets
• Therapy groups
• Training opportunities for clinicians that qualify for CEU.
• Peer groups, consultation or supervision.
• Employment opportunities
• Books and Book signings
• Blogs
• Vlogs
• Podcasts
• Sales and solicitation of any kind.
• Courses, seminars or retreats that qualify for clinician CEU’s.

Non-AMHA Members may post advertising promotions in the Advertising and Promotions Forum with approval of the Advertising and Promotions Moderator.

Secure Consultation & Referral

Referrals may be discussed in Counseling & Therapy Consultation (HIPAA assurance).

• Referral requests should be posted as a topic in the Secure Referral Forum.
• When necessary, referral details, protected health information and files can be shared by using the secure internal private message system.
• Any posting that contains protected health information will be deleted.
• Members should delete any posting that contains protected health information. (i.e. information that can identify a patient).
• Members should report any posting of protected health information in a any other forum to Counseling & Therapy Consultation (HIPAA Assurance) Moderator.

Information Sharing

• Requests for attorneys, physicians, billing specialists, software should be responded to with a private message.

Antitrust “safe-harbor” Guidelines

All Forum users are expected to adhere to State, Federal or Tort laws including but not limited to Sherman Act, Antitrust laws and Federal Trade Commission regulations. Forum users must obtain approval from the AMHA-OR Board of Directors before discussing collective business opportunities.

• Forum users may discuss their fees/rates with other providers only for purposes of making and receiving referrals, and
• Forum users should not come together on this forum to discuss, organize, conspire or make decisions for the purpose of…
• setting or bracketing prices or fee-for-services, or
• taking any action to that would collectively interfere or influence the availability of services except for lawful marketing and promotion services.

AMHA-OR will accept responsibility for our behavior and users of the Oregon Therapy Forum will accept responsibility for their behavior.

By using AMHA Oregon Therapy Forum users agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the AMHA-OR, its owner-members, associates and affiliates, from and against all losses, claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs arising from any claims arising out of or resulting from any breach of these guidelines by the user or any omission or act taken by the user against the decisions of AMHA-OR.

You agree not to post any abusive, obscene, vulgar, slanderous, hateful, threatening, sexually-oriented or other material that may violate any laws of the United States. Doing so may lead to your being immediately and permanently banned, with notification being given to your Internet Service Provider if deemed required by us. The IP address of all posts are recorded to aid in enforcing these conditions.
